A31 Social Prescribing Team March Fundraiser

3 March 2024
A31 Social Prescribing Team in Alton, supporting The Pink Place

The A31 Community Wellbeing Hub is an initiative by five General Practice Surgeries in and around Alton, all linked by the A31 (hence the title). It enables patient communities access to a space to interact with a variety of organisations that can assist in providing specialist support or useful information across a wide range of topics.

During March 2024, the A31 Social Prescribing Team is supporting The Pink Place, incorporating The Blue Space for Men, aligning with the Walk All Over Cancer month campaign. Pink Place Collection Tins will be in the following GP surgeries in Alton

  • The Wilson Practice
  • Chawton Park Surgery
  • Boundaries Surgery
  • Alton Community Centre

Then, at the end of the month, on Saturday 30th March, the team, which includes Chrissy, Sarah, Sylwia, Annie & Emilia, along with supporters, family and friends, will walk/jog/run alongside the walkers from 5k Your Way at Alice Holt to raise awareness about cancer support.

The team said,

We're shining the spotlight on the incredible work The Pink Place does, recognising the vital role they play in providing comfort, resources, and a supportive community for our patients facing the challenges of cancer. By rallying together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by this disease.

Together, let's show our support and solidarity with our neighbours fighting cancer. Your contribution, whether big or small, can help ensure that The Pink Place and The Blue Space continues to offer vital assistance to those who need it most.

You can donate now on their People’s Fundraising Page.
