Over the weekend of September 14-15, Basingstoke Golf Club welcomed 220 golfers to officially open the new Basingstoke Golf Club in Dummer with a ribbon cutting ceremony, prior to starting Captain’s Weekend golf competition.
As part of the celebrations, we were lucky enough to benefit from a wonderful raffle, organised by Club Captain, Richard Carpenter, as part of his selection of The Pink Place as his charity of the year.
Thanks to local suppliers, there were a wide array of prizes available and some very generous members and the total amount raised on the weekend was £2,250.
This much-needed boost of income will go towards the ongoing running costs of providing our wellbeing services to ladies and gents with a cancer diagnosis in and around Basingstoke.
A huge thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, and a special thank you to Richard for his ongoing support.
It was a fantastic job from everyone all weekend, especially selling £2,250 worth of raffle tickets. A huge thank you to all the members who supported the Pink Place and Blue Space by taking part.
