A New Look That Reflects Our Broader Cancer Support Mission

26 May 2025

As The Pink Place celebrates its 15th anniversary, we are pleased to unveil a refreshed brand identity to better reflect our evolving mission and inclusive support for women affected by all types of cancer, not just breast cancer.

The Pink Place - Your Local Cancer Charity in Basingstoke

Originally founded in 2010 with a focus on supporting women diagnosed with breast cancer, The Pink Place has continually expanded, driven by an increased demand, and today we offer our free wellbeing services and support to women facing any type of cancer, including those with stage 4 / incurable cancer.

As part of feedback from healthcare professionals, the driving decision was to remove the pink ribbon from our logo and branding – a widely recognised symbol of breast cancer – to ensure clarity, inclusivity, and relevance for the growing number of women we now support with a wider range of cancer diagnoses.

We also worked to understand The Pink Place in 2025, which is now less of a single physical place, but more about select spaces that offer comfort and support, whether that be our group wellbeing session, yoga classes, craft sessions, or a one-on-one counselling or complementary therapy session.

“While we are proud of our roots as a charity, and the incredible work to support women with breast cancer, our services now go far beyond that. This refresh gives us the clarity and flexibility to ensure that women with all types of cancer feel seen, supported, and welcomed at The Pink Place. It will not ony give us the opportunity to reach more people, it better reflects who we are today - a charity for all women with a cancer diagnosis.”

Grateful Support

This rebrand project was 100% supported and funded by some very generous local companies, which has enabled us to rebrand and produce new marketing collateral without impacting our services or the day-to-day running costs of the charity.

A huge thank you to Boxxo & Click 71 for the design and marketing support, and thank you to GSG, Houston Broking, LG Motion, MiniTec UK, Ripton Windows and Shaw Gibbs for their generous donations, which will cover the cost of all new marketing collateral.
