David Lloyd Club Newbury Raises Over £10,000 for The Pink Place

2 April 2026

David Lloyd Club Newbury has come together in a powerful show of community spirit, raising vital funds to support women affected by cancer.

Led by professional tennis coach Nick Dingwall, alongside the dedicated team and generous members at the club, the initiative has already made a significant impact. The Pink Place is incredibly grateful for Nick’s commitment, which carries a deeply personal connection. The charity was co-founded over 15 years ago by his mother, Julia, whose vision continues to shape its work today and ensures her legacy lives on.

Nick Dingwall shared:

“Through our family-friendly events, we aim to bring the community together for a meaningful cause. This initiative is close to my heart, and we hope it will resonate deeply with many others as well.”

Through the enthusiasm and support of everyone involved, two fundraising events have already taken place for members and their families. ‘Fit and Festive’, held in December, and ‘Spring into Fitness’ in March have collectively raised an outstanding £10,729.60.

This achievement reflects not only the generosity of those who took part, but also the strong sense of community at David Lloyd Club Newbury.

The Pink Place would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Nick, the team at David Lloyd Club Newbury, and every member who contributed to these events. The funds raised will make a real difference, helping the charity continue to support women living with cancer across the local community.

Further fundraising activities are anticipated, as this inspiring partnership continues to grow.
