Corporate Partnerships and Funding Organisations
The Pink Place works with a wide range of corporate partners
Partnering with us shows that your company is socially responsible, energises morale amongst staff through team-building and can boost customer loyalty
The Pink Place works with a wide range of corporate partners. Working with businesses has really helped us provide vital support to the growing numbers of people living with cancer in North Hampshire. We have worked with a number of corporate partners in different ways including, cause-related marketing campaigns, charity of the year partnerships, in-office fundraising, payroll giving and sponsorship. With corporate client side and in-house charity experience, so we can understand your business priorities.
We are adaptive and creative and open to opportunities to develop a workable partnership. The Pink Place was able to adapt quickly at the start of lockdown to provide effective virtual support and counselling when other charities ‘closed’ during this time. We ensure every partnership we enter in to is mutually beneficial, working closely with our partners to build a true partnership that delivers for both parties.

Pink Place Challenge
The Pink Place is up for any challenge, are you?
Let’s get creative together to work out a challenge that’s right for your team.

Quiz World Record
During lockdown, The Portsmouth Arms general manager Richard Curtis launched a daily Facebook Live pub quiz streamed from the pub, with each entrant invited to donate to local charities. Richard broke the Guinness World Record for running the longest virtual quiz (a whopping 34 hours and 11 minutes), raising more than £23,000 for The Pink Place Cancer Charity. His quizzes have raised more than £47,000 and have passed 1,000,000 viewers. Richard’s Pub is the Charity Champion from the Daily Telegraph Great British Pub Awards 2020

Rowing World Record
Three friends took on an incredible challenge over the weekend – rowing for 50 hours non-stop and breaking three world records in the process.
Dave Holby, Simon Rayner and Stuart Dimond completed the challenge on rowing machines in Festival Place, forgoing sleep and pushing their bodies to the limit to raise cash for charities The Pink Place and Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Rowing side by side, they broke three individual continual endurance world records.

Why not take on a team challenge such as our recent Pink Place Sky dive.
These challenges are exhilarating experiences that contribute towards your team building while raising very essential funds for a great local cause

Cause-Related Marketing

Solicitors - dormant client accounts
Small amounts of money are sometimes lying untouched in dormant client accounts. These small cash accounts could add up to a significant amount. Solicitors can follow an approved Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) process to give these small amounts to the Pink Place.
The Pink Place is seeking the help of solicitors who may have dormant client accounts holding up to £500, where the client is untraceable. Dormant client accounts are an administrative burden for law firms and if unclaimed, can only be donated to local charity.
Not only will you be helping to fund our work and helping to provide the much-needed care and support to people with cancer, you will be meeting your business needs and helping to achieve your community and social responsibility goals.
Although many solicitor firms might consider the amounts generated from those funds to be quite small, collectively they would make a significant contribution to our fundraising effort.
Recognising your Contribution
If you choose to support us in this way, we will be truly grateful and we will:
- Send an official certificate of thanks
- Provide a logo for use on your website or brochure showing you are supporting
- The Pink Place with dormant client account donations
- Mention you in our social media
- Information on the size of donations will remain confidential, unless agreed otherwise
- Offer local media coverage in support of your donation
Resources for Solicitors
Please find below a downloadable template letter for use when contacting client account holders about dormant accounts and the release of funds. Simply fill in the details, print on your letterhead and send it to your clients.
The SRA rules state that law firms must make ‘reasonable’ efforts to contact the client account holder before funds can be released. The template letter provides an indicative basis which law firms can use to make attempts to engage with account holder.
